Sacred Valley Hike, Throw Net Demo, and Aloha Friday (30 JAN 2009)

Aloha

This morning, join us on a hike through a Sacred Valley with a very special friend:

A minor wait by the shore reveals an inch long Kiawe thorn, evidently bored into the thick sole of Camilla's hiking boot on a prior outing (because there were no Kiawe trees where we currently sat). It took some concentrated effort to dig it out. We also met some local 'morning plumage':

Here's where we are headed today:

A liliko'i blossom:

A Mountain Apple tree:

A Pepper Cherry:

If you wish to join us for the hike through, here is the video sequence:

A refreshing swim awaits:

And, finally, a fish net throw-demo right on the lawn:

And then, off to home to change clothes (back into the blue muumuu) for Aloha Friday:

Per tradition, wrapping it up with God Bless America:

And another chance to reconnect with our friend Morgan:

And just savor the sweet sunset on this Friday afternoon:

And with that aloooohaaaa!
